The furled tapered line casts very well. I also like the visibility of the yellow lines.

While my first love is tenkara-ing in Sierra Nevada streams like the Truckee, most of my fishing is on a 6-acre pond in my neighborhood.

I'm like you: I work full-time, and find my opportunities to go hither-and-yon to far-flung mountain waters somewhat limited.

Unlike most of you, I have a pond in my neighborhood. That means I can stop for 30 minutes' worth of tenkara before I get home from work. I truly appreciate this resource. There is no better therapy for a tough Monday than a few bluegill or bass on tenkara.

I've loaded my Satoki with the Tenkara USA braided line. This set-up can launch a small foam popper with a copper John on the dropper into a 6-mph headwind.

Pretty impressive.
