Tenkara USA has joined the World Trout initiative. For every shirt sold, $5.00 will be donated to grassroots organizations devoted to preserving wild trout and their habitat.
World Trout was started in 2005 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and renowned angler and artist James Prosek. Its mission is simple: To identify the individuals and groups that protect native fish, to tell their story and to support their conservation efforts by placing money into the hands of the groups protecting the fish.
The stunning artwork that James Prosek used to document trout around the globe for his book, Trout of the World, offers the ideal opportunity to both raise awareness and funds for the cause. Mr. Prosek kindly offered his beautiful painting of the Yamame to illustrate our shirts. You'll be getting a unique work of art while helping save wild trout.
About the shirts:
Shirts have a superb cut, very comfortable 5.5oz 100% cotton, and high-quality double-stitching. Shirts are 100% organic cotton certified to the Global Organic Textile Standards - cotton is tracked from farm to warehouse and the entire chain has been certified to best available environmental and social practices. The shirts are printed with a long-lasting water-based ink via inkjet direct-to-garment technology, the most environmentally friendly print technology in existence at this time; there are no films to make, no screens to burn, and no cleaning up. The shirt is ready to be worn and the artwork is long-lasting.
At this point shirts are only available in "natural" color.
Shirts have a fitted cut; sizes run slightly small.
