Tenkara Level Line
HIGH VISIBILITY (20M) (Backordered USA) Tenkara Level Line
HIGH VISIBILITY (20M) (Backordered USA) Tenkara Level Line
HIGH VISIBILITY (20M) (Backordered USA)
Description:

(Backordered USA)- We are transitioning into a new set of level lines, which will soon be available in different colors. For now we only have it in PINK (USA only) and YELLOW (UK only), in 3.5#.
The best tenkara level line anywhere: very little memory right out of the spool, the right stiffness for casting, and most importantly VERY HIGH VISIBILITY! This is the preferred line used by Dr. Hisao Ishigaki, leading tenkara authority in Japan.

Our tenkara level line is a special formula of fluorocarbon, that was specifically formulated for tenkara with good visibility, low memory and best castability being the main criteria. Fluorocarbon is the chosen material for it has the right weight, density and stiffness to be cast with tenkara yet can be kept off the water at long distances for no drag on the line - (*pieces of the main line do not have to be cut if you use our suggested knots, thus it is not damaging to the environment).

20meter (65ft) spools.

Traditional Lines or Level Lines?
We like to recommend you try both the traditional lines and level line as you may quickly find a preference for one of them.

• I converted to level lines
• Location/type of places I fish: So Cal Streams and Eastern Sierra
• I was never a fan of level lines until I had the chance to cast this newest line from Tenkara USA. I was convinced that nothing could beat the turnover of a furled line. This high vis line from Tenkara USA changed my mind forever. Now it's the only line I use. It settles on the water softly and is easy to keep off the water for undeniably better drifts.

• Works great in the wind, and highly visable.
• Location/type of places I fish: Rivers, streams, & lakes, in the shade where the sunlight reflects off the water onto the overhanging foliage.
• Got the 4.5 level line, tried it out in twenty mph gusts, probably would have given up on trying to fish if not for this line that day. It actually seemed to make my casting better. I have used the same 16' section now for the last three fishing trips. Very nice to cast indeed.

• Great line and useful as a hi-vis sighter
• Location/type of places I fish: Utah - the provo, the weber, the Uintahs
• I like this line - it pops against the river when the background color is brown.
It casts very well.
I use smaller sections as a Hi-Vis sighter for soft hackle fishing and nymphing.

• I have fished with every incarnation of level line TUSA has offered from the hot pink stuff, the light green line and the milky green line. I first fished this line last year when I was giving a piece by Dr Ishigaki when he visited the Sierra's. I instantly fell in love. Not just because it was a gift from an angler that I hold in high regard, but because the line was far superior in performance than the other lines I had fished previously. Unfortunately the line holder that I keeped that most cherished line was misplaced and the line lost. So when TUSA was able to stock this line I was really exited. An it didn't disappoint perfect amount of memory, turns over like a charm, and really easy to see on the water. What more could you ask for!!

• Terrific line!
• Location/type of places I fish: Streams and lakes in Colorado
• Having fished many different level lines, I can say without a doubt that this line has the lowest memory I've seen. Just a slight tug is all that is needed to straighten it out (no more white knuckling or burning your hands). It's also one of the smoothest casting lines I've used--something that I think beginners would especially appreciate. And the color is a bright high-vis yellow that you can see under most lighting conditions. An all around stellar line!

• Just works well
• Location/type of places I fish: Small-medium rivers and streams
• It just works well. I've only fished with level lines, but see no reason to try anything else. I haven't fished in windy conditions yet so I can't speak to it's performance that way, but I can say it stays off the water well, and I can manage a 15-16 ft line easily with my Ayu, even though I am quite the novice. I think orange is a little more visible.

• Excellent
• Location/type of places I fish: Mountain streams
• Good visibility, low memory, and very durable. I have been using the 3.5 with my Iwana and it makes a great combination unless the wind picks up. I watched a guy cast with 20' of this leader on a 12' rod.

• I love this line.
• Location/type of places I fish: Northern and Central California, Southern Oregon, Sierra Nevada, or where ever I end up next to water.
• This is the best casting line that I've used to date. I am a level line user and abuser. This new level line from Tenkara USA is an absolute dream to use. It casts better than any other level line out there, is easy to see under varying light conditions and is virtually memory free. A trifecta of tenkara line excellence. Oh and did I mention it's extremely durable as well. This new line rocks!

• Great Product
• Location/type of places I fish: Wisconsin- rivers and streams for trout
• I purchased this product and am very happy with it. It has less memory than the other level lines that I have tried. The large spool also allowed me to make every length that I use ahead of time, so when I hit the stream, I know that I'm ready to go for any situation.

• Location/type of places I fish: North Ga., Trout, Bass, Bream
• This is my first foray into Tenkara, but for me, this line is very easy to cast. I can see it on the water, and strikes are easy to detect. I like the fact that you can make several lines out of the length you get. I am new to Tenkara, so this allows me to experiment.
