Like other yamame rivers, the river we visited is stocked with amago, and has never stoked with yamama. Fortunately, the tributary we actually fished has not been stocked with any fish, and the yamame you caught was perfectly natural.
The prettiest Japanese fish and best Tenkara rod too!
Is the Yamame rod still available?
