The Takayama Sakasa Kebari is the tenkara fly that completes our set of 4 flies. Offered in size 16, it's our smallest tenkara fly. Unlike in Western fly fishing, where a lot of people believe a super small fly is necessary, tenkara anglers hardly ever go any smaller than a size 16 for their fly. The size 16 fly will be handy for those days when a fish is rising to the fly but not taking it, or in waters with a little more pressure and pickier fish. Size 16. 3 Flies.

If there is a trout in a small stream or creek, then it will eat this fly.... at least that's been my experience. I've been dropping this #16 tenkara fly off a BH hare's ear nymph of similar size (the BH helps provide a little extra weight). The trout (usually bows where I fish) promptly ignore the hare's ear and take the tenkara dropper almost every time. Needless to say, I'm ordering more. And to think hare's ear used to be my go-to submerged fly.

Great quality
Location/type of places I fish: North Ga., Trout, Bass, Bream
Again, I tie my own flies, but I bought this as a model to tie from. These are well made and tied on high quality hooks. Great presentation with the glass viles.
