On the front range of Colorado, we are rich in smaller creeks and streams, which is a similar environment to where the Tenkara style originated in the mountains of Japan. Through RMA, our guided trips will explore locations like the head waters in Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and Rocky Mountain National Park, along with a few of the numerous high mountain lakes in them. As well as our local favorite, Boulder Creek, which offers a variety of different terrain to check out in a shorter drive time. All of these locations offer choice opportunities to learn Tenkara on Full or Half Day trips, also a select few of these locations offer year-round fishing.
Whether you’re just getting into Tenkara, or you’d like to fine-tune some techniques, our guides will be able to accommodate your needs. We also can pair “Western” style fly fishing and Tenkara trips for those who would like to maybe explore both styles.
