New to Tenkara

Postby Motions » Thu Jul 30, 2009 12:55 pm

Hello! I am new to Tenkara and, actually, to fishing in general. I live in MA and would like to plan a day hike/Tenkara trip in the upcoming summer weeks. Would anyone have any advice as to the best places to go in MA/NH for a novice such as myself?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts!

Hi Motions. I also live in MA and am a tenkara enthusiast. Daniel can vouch for me :)

I am also an avid fly fisherman, fly tier, rod builder, reel builder... and I fish all over New England a lot. I would be happy to take you out to the river and show you how to cast, etc. Best to reach me at mhackney@mac.com.

I teach fly fishing and tenkara classes, mostly to the Boy Scouts too.

cheers,
Michael
