Central PA Outing

Postby gentleshepherd » Sun Apr 11, 2010 6:44 pm

Was out this afternoon with a friend on the Wiconisco Creek.

Was using my Yamame and a tenkara style fly tied with a gray body/brown hackle - kinda like an Adams(Thanks Grassart for the color combo).

I caught 1 rainbow - nice fish - got off before I could take a pic.

However I did catch a nice bass a few casts later and he did stay on, put up a nice fight.

Pic is attached.

That was it for the day. We both had a good time.

Nice looking bass. Looks like you had a good time. Could you post a picture of the fly? I like seeing what others use to catch bass.

Rick,

They are the same as the ones I have for sale in the Marketplace. Just with a gray body and brown hackle. Tied in the same style as Dr. Ishigaki ties.

If you need a close up I can probably get one for you to see.

thanks for the post and pics. I'm thinking that my Yamame is due to arrive today...or soon anyway....there WILL be a day taken off this week for "personal reasons".
