When to join branch arms?

Postby Scott Anglin » Sun Jan 12, 2014 1:13 pm

How long should I wait to cut and join the branch arms? Also, would Gorilla Glue be fine to do this?

Once you have the branches tied down and bent into the shape you want I would wait a while. Generally I wait close to three months before trying to cut and join the branches together. If I untie the branches and they dont keep the shape I want, I tie them back down again and wait. The time to wait depends on the mositure in the branches and if your keeping them in a fairly dry place.

I used gorilla glue on my first tamo and it is still holding together fine. I picked up another type called Titebond III to try because it is waterproof. It was recommended by a few people on this site. You can find it Lowes or any other home improvement store.

Hope this helps.
