Thanks to Daniel's kindness and little extra gumption made my carvings easier and so did the warm weather today.

#16 is headed to the Wasatch Fly Expo in Salt Lake City, UT this March to get some stage time in a new casting challenge Tenkara Guides is hosting at our booth. You bring your best western fly rod/reel and we will use the most beat to hell loaner rod in our inventory to a true casting accuracy contest. Any fool can land a fly in a hoola hoop on an indoor casting pond. Now, casting to the Knot Head and catching it, that takes real skill. The wet gauntlet will be thrown down this year. Should be fun.

John

I found a piece of scrap 2x4 so decided to try to make one. The wood was plain, so I did a little airbrushing to liven it up.

I can't wait to hear how it goes John. You really do need to cast close to catch a Knothead. I find to remain calm and clear your head seems to make it easier. Leading the Safety Pin Kebari to the target works after casting past the fish. And should be acceptable for Kebari manipulation. But when you cast perfectly to the fish and connect I must say its almost as good as catching a real fish. Those who have accomplished this will agree.

#17 Ole' lighting it is Craig! I followed that line around for awhile today.

Really cool tsegelke, that looks great! The paint is something I have thought of a few times. But I like using the grain to add to the different forms of fin and curvature of the body. You didn't catch that near a PowerPlant did you?

The scrap wood wile is close to the breaker box. I agree, if the grain of the pine was not so plain, I would have just put a finish on it. I am hoping to find some good pieces of wood this spring to try again.

Near the fuse box 8-) An excellent use of a scrap. Looks like functional art now. I like the game in this way truly something out of nothing. Many hours have been played on Knothead #1 with the family.
I'm so glad you made a game too. You are the first. Have you tested it yet? I think the game play is best verses an opponent at the same time. It makes the game more exciting. If you haven't tested yet you'll need some Safety Pin Kebari.

I tried it with a size 12 Kebari, There was not enough metal to bring it in. So I am off to the tying table with a safety pin.

I still have some of that 2x4, and a piece of branch from a Grapefruit Tree. I still may make a few more.
