but good for general camping, close to a trout stream to tenkara fish, made this fire pit out of a washing machine drum.

Put some conduit pieces for feet on it and works great. With the ventilation it almost completely burns up all but a little ash/dust.

Also put a grill grate on this for cooking.

Thats clever... and I bet the cost was a lot less than from one of those mail order places too.

Thanks, most people laugh when I tell them about it, but after seeing it in action they start cruising the dirt roads for discarded washers :D
