Tenkara Rod Bag

Postby pszy22 » Sun May 31, 2009 4:40 pm

Was just wondering, would it be useful to have a rod sock/bag for storing your rods?

My wife makes all sorts of bags for fishing rods and martial arts weaponry, if a bag would be useful, she could sew something up.

thanks,

The rods already come with a nice rod sock and really nice case. The only thing I can think of that might be useful is a sock that holds a rod case and has a shoulder strap, so if the stream you are fishing goes from being fairly open to very tight and brushy, or if you are planning to fish the main stream and then a small tributary, you could easily take a second rod.

Edited to add: It turns out a yoga mat bag would be perfect for that purpose. Standard yoga mats are 24" wide, so the bag will fit the Tenkara USA rod case perfectly, and a "large" mat bag would still have room for a windbreaker and light lunch.
