Lashing net to tamo

Postby DavidHE » Mon Dec 23, 2013 10:17 pm

What knot or technique are people using to lash the net to tamo frame? I don't want to drill holes, but prefer to wrap the cord around the frame. I thought I had found a video Daniel had posted showing this, but was unable to get it to play.

David,

Here is a link to a 12 minute video showing how Daniel lashes the net to the Tamo frame.
(note the video is linked on the gear page where they sell the nets)
The net lashing starts at 5 minute mark.

Basically he runs a small brass wire through the top of the net. Then lashed the wire to the Tamo frame with double half hitches spaced a thumb length apart.

However, here is an alternate knot shown on a Japanese web page. That may lock more securely.

D- Thanks for the quick response with links and pics. Very thorough as always. A minor adjustment to what I was already doing is leading to much better results.
