Heartbreak

Had a great day today catching brookies on a tiny creek in Tahoe National Forest. I was so excited to be catching such beautiful fish that I left my homemade tamo streamside not too far from the parking lot. When I came back to retrieve it, it was gone. I looked everywhere it could have been. Sad, but now I have a winter project. And it was my fault. Dax

Dax, I'm so sorry to read you lost your tamo. I hope someone gets good use out of it. Sometimes people will post on a forum that they found items, so hopefully you'll be able to get it back. Most FF men are that way. Maybe this one will be one of those. Where were you?

Post it on Craigslist! Lots of lost items and pets find their way home through there.

Great idea about craigslist. Also, I was able to post pics of the tamo there though I couldn't here. So if anyone is interested in seeing pictures of my homemade tamo which I no longer have  its on the reno craigslist lost and found. You can use link below. Dax

Dax, real bummer about your tamo! I swear, I wasn't in that area :) Hope you find it.
The thing I learned when I broke my first tamo (beyond repair, but that's a long story) is that I shouldn't be too attached to them. It's an interesting thing as it takes so long to make, each one will never be repeated, but since I was taking up the craft myself I was able to let it go and not think much about it.
I will hope it turns out, but again, nothing is permanent.
