Just got a couple of cord samples from satincord.com.

The "S-Lon Cord for Beading and Micro-Macrame" is very good for this applications. I got the bronze color as a sample, and really like it! I think it is one of the closest I have seen to some of the Japanese lines used for this. http://www.satincord.com/a_micro_macrame_cord_s-lon.html

Found this thread next to the tent area in the store. They sell it with a awl thats used for stitching repairs to gear. Thought this would be excellent for Tamo bag attachment. Very natural and tough looking thread.
