Talk me out of the Sato?

I hope to be purchasing my first Tenkara rod soon and have been researching in an attempt to buy the right combination for a beginner w/ no fly fishing experience.

This will likely be my home waters: http://www.outdooralabama.com/fishing/f ... ailwaters/

Based on what I have learned here, I am considering a Sato. Any words of wisdom?

Pretty big water...the Ito would work well too.

If you plan on fishing a level line, jd_smith is right, Ito could be a very nice option. I love the Ito as a light level line rod.

I also fish furled lines from time to time, but don't care for them on the Ito. The mid-zoom on the Sato handles them well IMO.

Not that a line should dictate which rod you choose...just thought I'd throw that in there.

You really can't go wrong with either rod...just get one and go fish!
