ITO vs AYU ll

Postby stevenlsmith87 » Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:40 pm

Hey Guys,

Looking to get a new rod and I am torn on these two. I mainly fish limestone streams in SEPA and am looking for a longer rod than my 12 Iwana. I am wondering what rod you guys would choose. Is the ITO the best choice with the zoom feature?

Just get both! That's what happened to me today. I ordered the Ayu II in the morning and had talked myself out of the Ito. Ya well, that sure changed :D

Hi everyone, I'm Dale, and I have a Tenkara addiction.

I opted on the Ito, but my needs may not be your needs.

I would opt for the Ito. I have one and love it. Casting and landing fish at 13' is a excellent rod. When you can extend it to 14'7" wow! I nice smooth, soft feel, and all the length fore excellent line control. When I have the room to use at full length, Ito is my go to rod.

That will compliment your 12' Iwana well. Good choice.

I debated all the yesterday over getting the Ito, but I decided that my IWANA 12' is serving me just fine. Maybe I missed out on a great sale's opportunity. Maybe next time.
