What we do at Tenkara USA is offer some testing time to see if there are any issues. For the first 60 days if a customer has an issue with one of our rods, we normally cover the parts at no charge to the customer. After the first 60 days of ownership is over, then the customer is responsible for the small fees we charge to get the replacement parts to them.

The TUSA warranty and customer service are incredible. While cleaning my Iwana last week I noticed some stress fractures in the rod and emailed about what to do. I had a reply from TJ and John within 20 minutes, amazing. Don't those guys ever fish??? :D I had the replacement parts by the end of the week, just in time to go fishing, take a spill while hiking, and break my 9' Iwana handle, haha. The speed and quality of the service was unparalleled. I'm so glad I purchased TUSA and will always be a loyal customer. :)

That's why you need at least 4 or 5 rods… just in case something breaks.

I have an opportunity to buy a 2nd hand Amago. Would a 2nd hand rod be covered by the warranty or is just for the original owner. I am a TUSA customer and haver purchased 2 rods from you in the past.

Thanks Paul

Hi houghland1966, same warranty applies to new owner and shipping & handling is $17 for most situations. Some may be the $47 Wear & Tear warranty so just depends on what your situation is. But yes, warranty moves with the rod.
