Tenkara USA warranty process

Postby Daniel @ Tenkara USA » Thu Feb 21, 2013 4:48 pm

I want to make sure everyone knows how our current warranty process works, and perhaps brag a bit that we may just have the best warranty service in the industry. if your Tenkara USA rod ever breaks, we will make it super easy to get it fixed, simply call us or email us and for just $17 we will send you just the part(s) you need to get your rod in working order. In most cases you will not have to mail anything back to us and wait weeks to get it back. Stepped on it? No problem. Drove over it? No problem.
My intent is to have our rods on the water for as many fishing days as possible.
This in itself (and the fact that I try making our rods the best possible to begin with) should make the decision of where to get a tenkara rod pretty easy.

Daniel,
I hope to never need to warranty one of my rods. But thank you for supporting your product like no other company.

Thanks for the support. I have never had to use the warranty, but its comforting to know it is there.

This past summer I busted up my Iwana pretty good and I can attest to how amazing the TUSA warranty service is... I was fishing again in a couple days! The process was completely painless. I certainly appreciate the fact that Daniel stands by his products awesomeness!

I have had to make use of the warranty once. Early last summer, about 10 months after buying my Ito, it broke in a couple of places while casting. No snag, no big fish. Just casting a long line about 24 ft long. TJ sent out I think 4 new sections. Had them in about 3 days. I'd say that was a good response to my broken rod. :)

I think you are going for the rod broken the most times. LOL

Just Curious about warranty or spare parts on discontinued rods. I'm sure accidents will happen.

Valid question, adventureR. We plan on carrying parts for all discontinued rods for some time. If we should run out of parts for a particular model, we will find another way to honor the warranty such as replacing the rod with a new model. We're hoping that won't come up for a long while.
