Spare rod tube?

Postby Mercuriocm1 » Thu Nov 21, 2013 9:12 am

Figured this was worth a shot...I've lost one of the thread caps for my Rod tube (Iwana 11') and am struggling to pay $30 for a replacement. Because of different threads, they don't sell replacement caps, you need to buy a whole new tube. I've thought about making my own out of pvc, but I really enjoy having all my tenkarausa rods in their original tubes. Does anyone have an Iwana rod tube they don't use? Let me know!

I have an extra I'm not going to be using. If I'm remembering correctly all the tubes are the same length except the one made for the Ito.

What is your ZIP code? Someone else may be closer to reduce shipping costs. I'd be shipping from 98037.

Mercuriocm1,

just a heads-up I spoke to Daniel and the standard size rod tubes (for all rods other than Ito and Ayu II) will be $13 plus shipping. The change should come in the next couple of days if you want to order online. This is for Rod Tube with both screw caps.

You are also welcome to call me at 888-483-6527 and I can do a phone order so I can do the $13 plus shipping. So just an option if you are unable to find a used rod tube.

Thanks TJ--good to know. My extra tube came from some warranty work on my Ebisu when I didn't sent the rod in an official tube and to my surprise it came back with a new one. So I figured I'd pass on the good karma!
