Fly Box Preference (silicone, foam, magnetic, compartment)

Postby mlkolb » Thu Jul 26, 2018 9:33 am

Wanted to create a poll for the ideal fly box for Tenkara. I've been though them all! Granted they have their strengths for certain flies.

Forget your current fly box...if you could have it your way (the best of holding combined with the most ideal closure, material, etc.) what would you most prefer for carrying your flies. There are certainly pro's and con's to all methods. If the particular method was the best of the best...for example: strong magnet that didn't let go so easily, best lids, organization, just the right size (current favorite may be too big/small), etc.

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

I actually like my Richard Wheatley aluminum boxes. They have clips, compartments, or foam. You can find older Perrine clip boxes used. Wheatley are expensive. because they're aluminum, they get hot/cold to the touch in summer/winter. Just another option.
