A couple of tools

What are the other ESSENTIAL pieces of equipment you carry with you? How do you pack? How do you hold your gear while fishing? Fly boxes? Snips? you tell us.

A couple of tools

Postby Bobc » Sat Jan 10, 2015 8:09 am

Here are a couple of tools to fishing easier, Ty-Rite Jr looks like a ball point pen push the button and a wire hook holder comes out, insert hook at curve, release button and it holds the fly. Making threading the eye and tying the knot much easier. Fish pond nippers, shaped like a pipe, replaceable cutters. Thanks to Erik of TGuides for showing these in one of his vids. Thanks to Teton Tenkara for the specs on his wading staff. I don't wade but this staff makes it much easier to stand and fish on an uneven, sloped bank.

I'm glad you like the wading staff, Bob. It has saved my bacon many times!

Also, I too like the Ty-Rite (Sr and Jr). I don't go fishing without one now.
