WarmWater Simple Frankenstein

WarmWater Simple Frankenstein

Postby Bobc » Sat Jun 14, 2014 7:49 am

I fish for bluegill, crappie, and bass here in SC, the nearest trout are 4 hours drive. This morning I took my frankenstein rod, parts from Iwana and some from an Amago, 13 ft. long. Using 20 feet of fly line and a 6 ft. leader, via Yvon's "Simple fishing..." caught a monster crappie, and 3 bluegill before the pond gator moved in and shut down fishing. Caught all of them on my version of a soft hackle killerbug. Simple fly fishing.

Doesn't sound like a place to wade or use a belly boat.
Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story.
