My wife bought that book for me last year for my birthday. I like it. Nothing you can't find other places, but it's shows how to tie all the basic wet flies. I would recommend it.

Great book. Highly recommended, especially the section on soft hackle flies.

I would go so far as to say the "best" wet fly book out there..the wet hackle section is particularly useful for Tenkara anglers.

I am another fan of Dave Hughes and have about 5 of his books. I find them to be clear and well organized, with lots of useful information. The Wet Flies book outlines the history and patterns, as well as fishing techniques. Another excellent one for tying (with less history but several patterns and good notes on fishing) is Essential Trout Flies which also has nymphs, emergers and dry flies.

I am a huge fan of Dave's writing and I love the books that he has written. I will always keep my eyes out for extra copies that I can give out to my friends
What? There is life outside of fishing?
