Should Casting Stroke change when casting longer lines?

After my little adventure into casting what I consider longer lines, meaning total line length over 20', I sat down and really thought about what I was doing.

What this adventure did is gave me insight for my first Blog article here at Tenkara USA. This blog has been posted at this link:

For 2013, instead of advancing to longer lines, I instead will work on adding more casts to my muscle memory and make sure I can cast equally as well under various body stances whether it be kneeling down or crouch behind rocks or squatting in the river.

I feel I can do well casting at 25' distance using lines rod length or rod length + 3', plus your normal 3' to 5' tippet. Therefore meaning total line length about 12' to about 18' depending on rod being used.

Hope you enjoy my little blog on how I will be looking at things for 2013.
