Hi,

I would love the opportunity to try some new flies and share mine with a bit of New England flare. Can I be added to the host list?
Tight lines,

Lyle

I sent Vagabox on it's way to Yooper. Thanks for letting me have a turn.

Vagabox has arrived! Looking through the book now, very cool!

I hope to fish this weekend. I will post some photos from the stream. :)

The Fence river, fairly famous back in the day. Dwight Eisenhower fished it quite a bit. 12-16" brook trout were jumping all around me but none were interested in my flies. That white line below the brush on the left side of the photo is a big eddy topped with foam. They were jumping through the foam, no idea what they were eating. The only hatch today was the tiniest of midges. Nice first day on the river otherwise. Lake fishing later...

Took the daughter out for a sunset paddle. She hooked but lost a pretty nice northern pike, probably 20" or so. A nice first boat outing for the season.

I tried a big conehead muddler, no love. Water is a bit cold yet, 52° F at the surface...

Next weekend a different river, and maybe some steelhead action...

Hit the Carp river today. It's a small Lake Superior tributary and holds brookies, browns, steelhead in the spring, chinook in the fall. It's empties into Gitchee Gumee about a mile from my house.

I've been itching to try to catch a steelhead via tenkara. Was successful today! Sort of. :D

I hope to try for steelhead again next weekend

Haven't heard from klags yet...my two weeks is up in a couple days...

Has Vagabox moved on to klags? I sent a PM to him on Saturday.

Give him a couple of days. If no response, move on to the next person on the list.
