2018 Tenkara Adventures

Postby Adam Trahan » Sun Dec 31, 2017 3:50 pm

Super excited going into 2018 for my tenkara.

I have a couple of BIG things going on for me and my tenkara.

I'll begin to explore the Colorado River with my tenkara rod (fixed line fishing, what ever) and then use a pack raft to float back out of the canyon.

I'm also going to fish for the little rainbow trout in Kauai.

If we don't get more snow in our watersheds, I'm not going to be doing much fishing in AZ. A few years ago, we were way down in snow and the streams suffered really bad. The fish were bunched up and stressed, I did a lot of hiking and eventually stopped fishing that year...

So I may be fishing a lot of honryu and traveling to Colorado.

Excited for the new year and at the same time, sad about the condition of our watershed, gees, I hope we get snow. I really hope we get some late season snow storms...

Hmm, No C&R allowed in the Kauai trout fishery. I wonder why that is?
