unexpected score in rock creek!

Postby jdchaussee » Tue Jun 08, 2010 4:04 pm

Since the south fork american is out of control right now, I decided to make my way down the road to rock creek and try that instead. After fishing a few areas on rock creek that normally have fish with no luck, I decided to call it a day and head home. On the way back to my car, I noticed a nice looking pool that I've never fished before and couldn't help but take a look. As soon as I got to the water's edge, I noticed the pool was teaming with trout! Out came the rod and within the first 10 casts or so I managed to catch 3 nice little brown trout. Bumped in to Troy (lightworker) there too who spoted me from the rock creek road bridge and came on down to wet a line. He ended up catching one almost right away. Turned out to be a nice little trip after all!

1st catch. Pardon the trash in the background, it was left by the last people who visited this area. Unfortunately not everyone respects and appreciates nature as most of us here do. >:-(
