Had a really nice day at the river with my horsehairline. After some small trouts a serious fish wanted my fly. Fishing with a horsehairline with 4 strands in the tip i was a little bit scared at the beginning of the fight. But the line did its job. After 5 minutes was the fish at the bank. One hair broke, but the rest was enough to land the fish.

Well done!

Luckily, the broken segment can be replaced pretty easily.

Nicely done! That's one big fish. Sorry to read the line broke but glad the rest held.

Very nice carp! They really put up a fight. It must have been quite an experience fighting and landing it on a tenkara rod. I'm sure that in past times many carp were caught with a tenkara-type rod both for sport and for food.

Yeah, it does look "chubby"...or is it chunky?
