Tiger Trout - Fish Lake - Spokane County, WA

For my first few outings tenkara fishing I visited a local lake to practice casting. I fish a 3.6m 5:5 tenkara rod, 3.3m furled line, 5x tippet and Ishigaki kebari-style flies. This lake is known for having brook trout and tiger trout (a sterile hybrid of brook and brown trout). Had a great time catching small tiger trout - very aggressive and fight heartily. Although probably not the best way to shore fish a lake or catch bigger fish (this lake has put out 13lb tigers before), tenkara affords me a quicker setup and more mobile fishing experience.
