Fun with the Iwana

Hit a very popular (& pressured) creek in my neck of the woods and had a blast bringing in some little wild trout with my Iwana.
All were about 6-8", didn't take pics of them all, but here are a few...

Beautiful little fish! Thanks for posting about your outing. We're heading out in a week for Pyramid Lake in Nv. and maybe the Truckee and Little Truckee. I can't wait to use my Iwana.

My Tenkara Rods:
13' Ayu, 12' Yamame, 11' with a conversion handle, and an Ito.

My Wife's Tenkara Rods:
12' Ebisu and 13.5' Amago, 12' Iwana with a conversion handle, and an Ito.

Thanks for sharing your pictures!

You people are lucky, it'll be about two months before fishing season starts up (as in 'north') here. It's going to be a long wait...
