hooked this fish last week on a #14 epoxy minnow. fishing a 13' ayu 5:5.

Sweet! Nice catch! I love seeing salty fish being caught on a Tenkara Rod. That's a halibut, right? The first one I've seen caught on a Tenkara rod.

Looks like a starry flounder!

Nice job! You must have had that epoxy minnow right on the bottom!

landed another flounder today, on a small (#8) yellow shrimp pattern.

Loved it, congratulations!
I do live in a towm by the shore 5º under the equator line (very hot place)
I bought my tenkara to fish the smallies in back country
but seeing your pictures makes me want to try the salt stuff!
P.S: Have a picture of the yellow shrimp to share?

I'd also like to see the shrimp pattern, and any other patterns that work for you in the salt!

simple easy to tie shrimp patterns, i wrap crystal chenille and trim the top and sides.

Wow, that's cool. We fly fish for flounder at Cape Henlopen, DE. Never thought about pursuing them with a Tenkara rod.
