Beautiful photos! How long are your rod and line? The casting shots make your line appear to be longer than the rod.

Great photos Ronald and nice fish.

Germany is still as beautiful as I remember it.

Curious question. How long was your leader and do you commonly use the net to land your fish?

Thank you.

Hello Jeff,

i use a tapered furled line, which has rodlength (13 feet). As Tippet i use 5 feet of mono. Normally i use no net to land my fish. I just strip them in with the line in my hands. For the bigger fish it is easier to land the fish with a net with a long handle when you fish a line which is much longer than the rod. I will experiment with a net with a handlelength of 4-5 feet for the bigger fish.

My wife is of German descent and she toured Europe after high school. I wonder if she'd like to go back and take me fishing there? That's some beautiful water Ronald.
