Wild Trout Trust has a new website

Tenkara USA has pledged to donate at least 1% of its sales to support environmental conservation, particularly small-stream conservation. And, we'll give as much energy as we can in supporting the environment.
This is a forum to discuss where we can have the biggest impact and to discuss what is going on so that we can participate and help out.

Wild Trout Trust has a new website

Please find yourselves invited to try it out (and also to report any duff links, glitches and typos!). We are a grass roots charity dedicated to protecting and restoring the streams and rivers of the UK and Ireland. All our staff work from home to minimise overhead costs and our goal is to provide free specialist advice (via walkover habitat surveys) and hands on practical training in habitat restoration across the UK. Our programs include the urban river restoration project "Trout in the Town" ( and I am working towards implementing Tenkara into an engagement program for kids who find themselves at odds with the mainstream education system and are at risk of involvement with crime (working title of "Tenkara in the Town").

A disproportionately large number of our staff and main advocates are Tenkara addicts (I like to say it that both WTT membership and a fondness for Tenkara are great indicators of superior taste and enlightenment!)

Wow! The WTT website looks great and you have my respect and admiration for all the work you're doing. Using knowledge and working with others in cooperation can achieve a lot.

Best wishes,
- Jack
