The Tenkara Summit is our gathering of the tenkara community with the purpose of sharing knowledge about tenkara and for the community to meet and fish together. It is also a great opportunity to visit and fish in one of the prime mountain stream areas of the United States.
Our 6th Annual Tenkara Summit will take place in Estes Park, Colorado on September 16 and 17th. This is one of the most beautiful times of year to visit Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The fishing is absolutely great, water levels are good, thunderstorms are less common, trout will eat on the surface and below, and the elk roam in their rutting season. This Tenkara Summit is shaping up to be the largest and coolest so far.
9am – 12 pm: Presentations
12pm – 3 pm: Lunch, fly-tying, rigging and casting clinics, and vendors
3pm -5:00pm: Presentations
5:00-7:00pm: go fish/break
7pm – 10pm: Tenkara social/fly-tying gathering, location to be determined
Sunday is fishing day! Meet people the day before and go fish a variety of streams in the town, in the Park or other places.

Daniel Galhardo, Tenkara USA founder will be signing books and doing a short talk about tenkara

List of confirmed vendors to be announced soon.
There are several options for lodging in Estes Park close to the event center.
The event will take place at the Estes Park Event Center, on 1125 Rooftop Way, Estes Park, CO 80517. Here is a map with hotels in the area. We don’t currently have a specific suggestion.
