• I bought this at the same time as the purchase of my first rod. It really helped me to know where to start with my new Tenkara rod.
  I have watched it many times for insight or just to learn more about Tenkara.

• This DVD is the perfect place to start for someone wanting to know more about Tenkara. Packed with valuable information that encompasses the gear, the techniques used and the history of tenkara.
  
  It has on stream demo's of casting techniques, fishing techniques, rigging procedures, as well as interviews with some of the most well known tenkara enthusiasts. There is the seminar of tenkara with Dr. Ishigaki, a Japanese master, at the Catskills in 2009 that is very enlightening. It covers the history of tenkara and the progression of tenkara gear and techniques for tenkara fishing. Daniel has put together a great Tenkara fishing primer here, that will really capture your interest.

• it's nice to have a collection of all of the short web videos in one place. The real meat of this DVD is the lecture and on stream demo from Dr. Hisao Ishigaki. You can't put a price on learning from a master.

• There's alot of content here. Yes, you can get most of it online, but having Dr. Ishigawa's lecture from the Catskills and onstream demonstration is very nice and includes some great introductory tips. The recording quality of all the videos is quite good.
  
  For me, two ways in which the DVD really shines are not immediately apparent. There is a dearth of information on tenkara fishing commonly available, so just having something, anything, to pop into the TV to watch or get inspiration from is nice. I often watch the videos for that reason alone, just to make it through a long, fishless winter. It's also a great and easily accessible way to introduce other anglers to tenkara - they can get enough of an idea of what it is to decide if its something they want to explore.
  
  It's well worth the minimal cost.

• If you have not really gotten the bug to try Tenkara yet just get this dvd and you will be making your first order. these are not just your standard youtube videos. they have a very good production value. the only criticism is that some of the information in them is getting a little dated already.
