If you were lucky enough to register for the Tenkara Summit in time, then you'll be happy to know that the event just got a little better.

The University Guest House is pretty excited to have us. So excited that they offered a venue upgrade.

The Summit will now take place in the brand spanking new Fort Douglas Ballroom.

The Fort Douglas Ballroom is attached to the Guest House Hotel, right next to the Officer's Club. Parking, lodging and directions are all the same.

That's awesome looking so forward to this! Mahalo for all the work you have done Tenkara Guides in putting this event on for the rest of the tenkara community.

11 days and counting! Spent the day wrapping up some loose ends. T-shirts are here, TUSA trade show booth is here! I can't wait to get all this stuff out of my garage so I can park my car in there.

I bet you he has been out in the garage every night doing tenkara puppet shows for all his neighbors with the booth as a backdrop.

Just picture the marionette of Daniel casting a tenkara rod.

I know it is true, admit it! :P

I made a Lefty Kreh sock puppet and a show all about the future of fly fishing and it turns out the whole reel thing for rods under a 4 weight was just a fad.

4 Days! Summit attendees are starting to trickle into Salt Lake City.

For the early comers, welcome and enjoy, if you have questions about local tenkara fishing, we will do our best to help out. Post your questions here that way we can hopefully answer the most common questions once and help a larger number of people in a shorter amount of time.

Things are very hectic for us at the moment with guided trips, summit prep, and we still have jobs and family stuff to manage. Responses to questions may be a little slow but we will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. It is crunch time for the Tenkara Guides crew. (My chestnuts are starting to ache.)

ONLY 4 DAYS!

John

Will beer be permitted at the events on Saturday?

See you all at the Summit! I am getting real antsy to leave myself. Getting the FJ all packed up.

I am heading out in the wee hours of the morning Thursday and start heading to SLC from Cali. Driving takes a bit of time but the journey is the reward.

Have fun for all you travelling to the Summit.

We are not providing alcohol nor is the caterer. As for the
University Guest House, I do not know if they allow alcohol in the conference facility.
