I know a lot of you want to but can't make it to this year's Tenkara Summit. So, I was thinking about trying to somehow include you via the internet. I'd be willing to do a live blog from the Summit if there's enough interest. Lots of tech bloggers do this at Apple events, etc. so I just wanted to open it up to the tenkaraverse to see if you think it would be cool or not. I'll have plenty to report when I get back but kind of feel the live blogging makes you feel more like you're part of the event even if you can't participate. Say yay or nay below.

Many of our club members in Japan would love to see the live broadcasting.

Jason,

Yes, live blogging would be great.

I also love Eddie's idea of live video. I realize it might be a bit much to ask, but if it could be done somehow, live streaming video would be wonderful. Streaming video is a direction things seem to be going toward, for example in the future if Daniel or you give a talk.

As I said, I realize you can't do everything on short notice. So whatever you do this time around, thanks for bringing up the possibilities of participation at a distance.

- Jack

Live blogging would be cool.

However, i guess Id just prefer daily writeups that concisely captures the days events\activities\demos\etc.

I suppose there's no reason you couldnt do both, and use the live blog (tweets?) as "lecture notes" when compiling the days blog post with pictures and any video you take.
Just wouldnt want one product to sacrafice at the expense of the other.

Me personally, I wouldnt have the time to follow a live stream anyway, so it would be sorta lost on me.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Live video would be tough on such short notice.

Tj, and Tenkara Guides told much of their adventures at the last Summit. I really enjoyed that info. Wish I could have gone again. Anything you all can do would be great.

OK, update, the live blog is a go! I found some great live blogging software ans will put up the post Friday. I'll be posting updates throughout each day of the summit and try to give you an idea of what's going on, summarizing tips & advice from the masters, and posting some cool pics & videos. This is going to be great.

Oh, also, please feel free to leave comments if you'd like to see something specific and I'll see if I can get it. I'll make an announcement on the link when it's ready. The post updates in real time so you can keep using the same link to see the latest. I'd suggest bookmarking the link and checking it a few times each day to see the updates.

Sorry, Jason. I did not mean to ask you a difficult task.
I thought the "live blog" included live video.
