Where are most of you going to stay? Is there camping near by? Also where would you fly into?

Tom

Camping - yes that's what I'm interested in. It would be great if there was a nearby campground that could be a sort of "official" campground, that we campers could congregate in.

That is a good idea, having a sort of headquarters campground. Salt Lake City is a pretty big place, so picking a conveniently located campground really needs a bit more info about where in SLC we will be getting together -- toward the north? toward the south? etc.

Also, I'm a bit in doubt as to whether Day Two will involve moving to a different campground or if going to the mountains is nothing more than a round trip that can be done on the same day.

We'll be getting more info on things like that, I'm sure.

I just signed up Sherry and myself. This should be a great summit and I want to thank The Tenkara Guides and Daniel for making all the arrangements. I may take 2 weeks vacation and make this a trip to remember.

Fly into SLC.

We'll post camping and lodging recommendations as we get closer to the event, but you should be able to do most everything with day trips.

I think I'm gonna drive my tundra out from Michigan and sleep in the back at the campground and rough it for a week. Maybe convince someone to let me take a shower. Its gonna be cheaper but thats a solid 24hour drive straight.

Although I will be out there for a week, I will go thru colorado before or after and would like to Meet up with someone there if anyone would be interested?

That above link should get you to an area that is about 15 minutes tops from downtown SLC. I will say I have fished that stream many times and there are some nice browns and brookies. Anyway don't mean to step on anyones toes just thought I could be of help since I have guided in Utah and I'm also addicted to Tenkara!

I'll be there! I'll be looking to camp out. I'll also be doing some fishing on my way home to Colorado.

There is a link for those who want to camp close to the city. The reservation goes fast for that time of year, but there is excellent fishing there as well. Anyway just thought I would help out.
