I have an opportunity for a 2-3 night backpacking trip with my 13 year old son in late July. Do any of you have any suggestions for a good trip that includes at least one nice Tenkara-sized small or medium-sized stream? Colorado near Carbondale would be most convenient, but I'm open to any ideas in the Rockies.

Rocky Mountain National Park is the best. Tenkara water everywhere. But you'll need to get signed up for a campground. If possible, try Thunder Lake, the headwaters of the North St. Vrain.
