Thanks guys, I find my simple woodworking very enjoyable. Not much work really, as long as I keep my tools sharp. It all started with one simple line holder. I don't really know how I've gotten as far as I have with these little projects. Suppose that if you break it all down to one step at a time, it's pretty easy. I surprise myself constantly with how things keep turning out though. As for the style of it, it's more of a folk art type if I can classify it. I like it more then the perfectly measured and square look. I guess I'm drawn to the more natural organic style.

Very cool stuff adventureR! A while back I was working on something similar and got "sidetracked" with moose antler line holders. But I like your holder/fly box better...they have character and are unique. I had started with wood from Home Depot. It looked OK but something that is original and unique is what gets people talking. Nice work on all of the items!

Thanks, Kiwi I bet your creation is better then you think. You have alot more creative talent then you give yourself credit for. Anyone who has visited http://thenorthriver.blogspot.com/
can attest to that. I'd love to see your project. Keep your eyes peeled for drift wood, it often has interesting features. And it's usually very light, and free.

I often get side tracked and work on several projects at the same time. I try not to work on something unless I have the urge to. All of the holders boxes and gadgets have a use with my wife and me for fishing. I think one really needs several line holders for experimentation alone. They definitely make our time fishing feel somehow even better, if that's possible. I've found alot of inspiration on the Japanese Tenkara websites.

Thanks for your interest Ashuks. I have surprised myself with many projects lately, can't hurt to try. I find alot of pleasure learning to make and repair things.
