Nicely done, Anthony. Of the articles/interviews I've seen, I think that's the best one yet.

Thanks Darrin - and of course a huge thanks goes to Daniel for his thorough and thoughtful responses.

Anthony, thank you! That was real fun. I really like interviews as they are such a good way to reflect and learn more. Thank you so much for your interest and for getting that featured.

Anthony,

Congratulations on your going "legit." :) It's a good thing to do so, especially since you have the talent and something to say. This was a great interview. You asked all the right questions and Daniel gave very articulate answers. Thanks both of you for doing it.

An additional comment about one of Daniel's statements. Daniel said:
Quote:
"It is very difficult to get a good photo of tenkara casting because the lines are so thin and light (to put into perspective, a tenkara line is as light as 1/3 the weight of a 000-wt western fly line) .. they are difficult to capture on film or in videos."

That's a great tenkara casting photo. However I think the photo really needs some image processing to show the casting better. The image should be processed to more clearly show the line and the rod casting against the dark background. If there is any interest in doing this, I'd be glad to volunteer to give it a try.

What threw me off is in the picture from this article it shows Daniel casting from his left hand. I thought he was a righty!

Image

In the picture in this article he is a lefty.

The main www.tenkarausa.com site shows he is a righty in that one.

I think it's the same photo... but the image or negative (do they still use those) is just reversed, and gives the impression that Daniel is using his left hand. But I could be wrong, I use my left hand all the time while fishing.
