Being a stay at home Dad, I decided to try something new this year, so I started a blog. Anyways, I just finished a little piece on Tenkara, and I hope that I hit it close enough that everyone can appreciate it.

Again, hope I did it justice.

Check it out if you want: http://lifefliesandtrout.com/

Thanks

I too am a stay at home dad - we should start the TASAHDA or tenkara angler stay at home dad association. It might just have two members though...

I'll check out the blog and add it to my blog roll when I get a chance - welcome to the blogosphere!

I hope to make a Driftless trip this summer - I'll have to get some recommendations from you.

Well I'm a supporter of stay at home dads, so how about a group called "Friends of stay at home dads"? :D I lived six years in Wisconson (Madison) during grad school and loved the area and still do. I loved the House on the Rock, Taliesen, Governor Dodge, but most of my fishing was done in the lakes up north and I wasn't tenkara fishing back then.

Anyway, Thomis, your blog is great. I'm going to add it to my reading list.

Best wishes,
-Jack :)

Nice blog Thomis. I'll add it to my list of thing to read too. I'll be a stay at home retired guy next year, maybe. Can I join the stay at home guys then? :D

Hey thanks for the nice words about my blog.

I might join some kind of stay at home dad/friend/retiree Tenkara group as long as don't have to run it and it wouldn't take away from my stream time. With two kids (almost 9 and almost 10), it's hard enough to not spook the wife and keep the kids happy. It wasn't my first choice to be a stay home. I worked in a water science R&D lab as a chemist/biologist for 10 years before they shut us down. It's worked out well for us to have me home. Everyone is less stressed out and I get to backpack and fish. I'm pretty lucky to have this oppurtunity, so I'm trying to enjoy it.

Again, thanks :)
