Picked up some of these EZ Keepers for my Amago... ( file pic btw)they work great, Cabelas and bass Pro shops have them. They fold down out of the way when not in use too.
Maybe this is a re post

Ordered mine a couple of days ago. Still haven't gotten a message they shipped but I have a couple of weeks before I'm on the creek again.

Thats perfect. Thanks for sharing. I've tried a couple of different line holder ideas and that looks like the answer.

Ordered a set from Cabelas on the 7th; they arrived today the 8th. Just regular shipping. That is service.

Got mine and put them on both rods. They are just awesome. Thanks again for posting this. I may get a few more and put them on my other WS fly rods in case I use them one day.

I put them on both of my rods and they do work very well. I like the fact that you can keep the rod rigged and ready for any circumstance that might arise.

Have been using the Fuji Hook Keepers for more than a year and still feel they are the best on-stream quick line managament system. Also appreciate that one can have a fully rigged rod in a rod tube. However always been two problems for me, line kinking and the fact that it take too many windings to take up the line. I think this is an improvement in both areas:

1. Put on only one of the hook keepers for the far turning point.
2. For the grip end however, make a plastic washer with tag and place it under the butt cap. (I made the one shown out of the corner of a "squared" mouthwash bottle, so the tag angles back over the butt cap a bit. It helps keep the cap on too.)

Advantage: longest possible winding (usually four) and few windings means very fast storage and very little kinking. I have used a rubber band for the fly as shown or the odd O-ring for the hook on shaft. Still use Daniel's Blue Spool for my spare line.

I'm getting some of those EZ-keepers. Great idea.

These really appear to be the solution to on-stream line storage. I ordered a set from Bass Pro the same day I ordered my Iwana. They both arrived yesterday.

I made a quick inspection to ensure there was no shipping damage. However, "She Who Must be Obeyed" immediately wrapped them both up and will allow no further play time until Christmas morning. :(
