Wonderful net adventureR. Love the two kinds of wood idea. If I ever see the troll that lives under the bridge, he'll have a net just like that stuck in his belt.
When will you show us the next one?

I don't know Steven, I've got a great many branches in mind. I just have to go after them. Since I got my wife the Iwana for Christmas I was thinking rod holder. I have a pretty good idea for a holder. The magic wands of fun deserve there own place to rest.

These are three of my latest. The dark one is ironwood with one of Daniel's net bags, the others are ash with homemade bags I hand sewed from pieces cut from a decoy carrying bag.

This stain job was an accident. I wasn't happy with the original stain so as I sanded it off the deeper grain held onto it. It gave a rather plain frame some visual interest so I just finished over it.

I like the "eye" on this one.

I love working with ironwood!

My wife is a real smarty pants. When she saw these photos her comment was "If you spent a tenth of the time refinishing our kitchen table as you spent on your nets...". I gave her the obvious answer, "Hon, I can't take the kitchen table fishing!"

Sweet Tamos Todd, What does the bark look like on the Ironwood. I like that one alot. And I know your pain.
