Try reposting the link, this time use the [url][/url] tags on the link. That seems to make the link work properly every time.

Hey Darrin,

Just back from 3 days on the middle and south fork of the Tuolumne Rivers just west of Yosemite
National Park. Fishing was great, the weather not so much.

Anyway, thanks for fixing the link i had posted and the tip for adding the tag.

Steve P

No problem Steve. I just keep seeing this issue with links crop up on this and another board I post one. I had to find a solution on the other board a couple of months ago when my posted links suddenly started doing this. I played around with a few ways of posting the link, such as using tinyurl.com and using BBCode to substitute the link with a word, and the tags seemed to be the easiest solution as it is already part of the posting tools.

Your link posted as…
http://www.eatmorebrooktrout.com/2012/0 ... hardo.html
does not work.

Posted with tags like this works…

This will work too…
20 Questions with Daniel

If you're curious about how it works, click on the "quote" button for this post and just look at how things are set up within my post.

BTW, I forget who, but someone mentioned to me on this board a few weeks back that the issue with the links not working without the tags lies within the parsing of the link (it was GregM - I still had the PM :) ). If you paste the link into your post and, without using the preview option or editing the post afterwards, the link should work. This seems to work. However, since I am obsessive about making corrections to my posts if I see so much as a misspelling, I need the tags. Because I try to catch misspellings before posting, I use the preview option. Again I need the tags. Seems easier for myself to just make them a habit. Hope you get something helpful out of this.

PS - I've already edited this post about 8 times.
