Hi, Wondering if Tenkara USA offers any complete fishing
packages for the beginning Tenkara Fisherman. For instance, I'm looking at purchasing an Amago rod, line,
line holder fly, leader .... but I'm new just like just about
every new customer who someone enthusiastically mentions
and comes to your site ......practically ready to buy.
And if you aren't offering packages now, I'm sure you will in
the future because you're missing out on a great opportunity. You have a customer like me, who wants to try out Tenkara,
willing to put down the bucks, but doesn't want to do
a ton of research (which in fact, leads them off your site to
other companies selling competing products) on how to do it.
And Tenkara USA (Daniel and ??) put together a beginners package,
give the customer a little discount and in fact, you are really selling more.
Just plain, simple, common sense marketing that every successful
company practices. Okay, maybe not a handful of the snobby
fly fishing companies like Urban Angler (hmmm). If you've ever
been in their store, and I've heard this from a ton of New Yorkers,
you've never encountered a stranger group of sales people who
don't seem to like their jobs!

But please, Let me know. Because two weeks ago, if a package
was available. I most likely would have readily purchased it ... but
once you start researching ... well ... opens you up to other
market places. Thanks.
BTW: I'll tell you a story that illustrates it. One of my cousins has
a huge company. He makes oodles of money which he either spends
it on certain luxuries (which the IRS allows him to deduct as business
expenses or GIVES it to the IRS). He went into a Jaguar dealership
in jeans and a soiled fishing shirt. A 'Seasoned Salemen' wanted to
tell him all about the car ... matter of fact, he was discouraging
my cousin and he sort of snubbed my cousin as a potential buyer ...
My cousin said, "I want this car." The salesmen said to him, "You
couldn't possibly afford that one."
My cousin looked at him and said, "Get lost."
My cousin called the brand new, young salesmen whose job was to
observe the master salesmen at work over and said to him.
Write me up an order for that car ... I don't need this idiot judging
me. That young salesmen on his first day, probably sold the most
expensive Jaguar that car ever had in it's dealership.
BTW: The seasoned salesmen's jaw dropped !
I could imagine what his manager said when this young upstart
salesperson told the story of how the seasoned guy .... Almost
let the 'Big Un' get away !

*** Point of the story ... Hey ... I'm a fisherman .. the only thing that
has points is my hooks !
regards,
JP
