If anybody makes some camping reservations - and doesn't mind - how about keeping the forum updated. If I go I really want to camp - but would rather be camping where there are other summit goers.
Thanks

We are booking reservations at the university guest house from Friday through Sunday. One step closer to being there.

Ditto for me but one extra day so I am arriving at same hotel Friday and leaving Tuesday AM instead of Monday, so 4 night stay.

I need to get some fishing in this summit!

Anyone in the know how to buy a fishing license for out of staters for X amount of days?

Tj

There is a link on my blog for a fishing license for utah.Look on the rate page at the top. Also I will using the mini van that weekend so whoever wants to get in on some fishing is welcome. I have some awesome places for that time of the year. All I ask is help with the gas because who knows how much it will be then lol.... Ok well look forward to fishing with some of you and showing you some of Utah's great tenkara waters. Side note Bring sun screen we are way up in the mountains and easy to get burnt lol.

That should be easy. I'll check back later as the summit gets closer.

I am camping up in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Redman Campground, lower loop, site 36. I'm arriving on Friday and departing the campground on Monday. My reservations are made. Is anyone else camping in Big Cottonwood at the Redman Campground?

There is awesome fishing in that stream with some nice browns, lots of hoppers there in the summer!

I was talking to TJ yesterday about the upcoming Summit. Can't go again. And thought after watching the Oni Loops video on YouTube posted by lolajoker , cool video by the way thanks for sharing it.

I thought T-USA might consider music for the venue? Or maybe there is already music set up. Taiko, or and Shakuhachi would be pretty nice to transition from an auditorium to the streamside. Or maybe a melding of Eastern and Western music like Nick Takenobu Ogawa.

Just thinking about the Summit wish I could go.

Hi everyone,

I plan to stay in SLC for the seminar and camp out for the rest of the weekend. I plan to take the clinic. I have never been to this area. What is the best camp spots near the clinic area? Thanks.
