I had a great time fishing with Tenkara USA gear, but I don't get the opportunity to use it as much as I'd like and decided to sell it. It was a painful decision, but I need the money. It is the perfect kit for some one starting tenkara.
Having both the Iwana and Amago, this kit will cover virtually all tenkara scenarios (small to large fish and water). Even with a simple setup, it can still be difficult to select the right items, I took a lot of time selecting the most appropriate and effective items.
This is really enough gear to get two people fishing (that is if you could part with a rod!) Everything has only been used a few times and is in great condition. Here are the included items:

1     Amago rod (13'6") w/tube
1     Iwana rod (11') w/tube
2     Traditional lines (Tenkara USA, one green, one white)
1     Level line (Tenkara USA, Hi-vis) two lengths for use with either rod.
1     Line Holder (Tenkara USA)
1     Morell Foam fly box (olive green, size small)
1 clear plastic fly box
1     Catch and release landing net (small, wooden)
1     White River Fly Shop® Spring Creek Technical Chest Pack
4     EZ Line Keeper (see forum about necessities, these clip onto rod to store line
while moving from spot to spot.)

Flies:
3 poppers (bass flies)
4 hoppers (grass hopper flies)
12 nymphs (BH gold ribbed hare's ear, griffith's nat, and BH flashback pheasant)
45 dry flies (mostly elk hair caddis, adams, Dr. Ishigaki's pattern (I tied))
and a few salt flies.

Also fly tying materials (threads, hackles, dubbing, hooks, beads, etc.),
2 clippers, 1 pair forceps, strike indicators, split shot weights, and 5x tippet.
I'm asking $450.00 OBO for everything.

Thanks,
Max

My guess is you are getting out of fly fishing and not interested in any trades but if you are still going to do western style fly fishing, do you have any interest in a trade for a brand new never used Redington 3wt Classic Tout Series fly fishing setup I have? Includes the rod, awesome Redington Rise Reel, and all lined up with floating line ready to use. Cost of my setup was between $400 and $450 (have to check my receipts from earlier this year). I found Tenkara after the purchase of the Redington setup and not so sure at this time I want to do western angling anymore and very interested in staying Tenkara 100%. So, I like your setup for that purpose.

If interested, I can email pics of my setup. If not, no problem, sorry to see you leaving Tenkara and best of fortune to you.

tj

Sorry macsociety, I intend on returing to Tenkara when the time is right. As of now I have to drive/hike at least 3 hours to get to any decent water and just can't make the time. Thanks for the offer though.
