If kayaking with moving water and a snag occurs I'll throw the rod into the water. Swing back around and unsnag. Then pull in the line back up till I can reach the rod. After a few snags cleaning is usually needed.



That's a cool move I know you gota do something but if that tip ever breaks while the rod is under water your goina be out a old friend. I wonder if your fish on the rod would float the rod if the fish was carved from cork? Can you carve cork?

My rod floats. I don't know if cork can be carved. The rod floats even better though with Namazu riding Shotgun. The water current slows for no man. So while floating around clumsily as I do, this is the only move I've come up with.

It's a great move there's no line to let out so I don't see any other thing that can be done it good your rod floats.
